Scottish Highers Online aims to provide a high quality learning experience at a competitive price. We appreciate not everyone can commit to regular classes so have created this online school to provide greater access and flexibility to Scotland’s learners.
Our mission is to provide education that is FAIR:
Flexible – you choose when, where and how often you study
Affordable – SHO profit margins are very small and we reinvest each year
Inclusive – we consider applications on ability alone, regardless of age, background or prior achievement
Relevant – we are the only online school offering a range of the SQA’s National Qualification exam courses
We currently offer a range of National Qualifications (National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher) to allow students to gain the qualifications necessary for university application. Courses run from 1st September to the final exam in May and cost £375* each.
We also offer a range of short courses (6 weeks duration). Our short courses are designed to provide preparation for studying a full time course or for general interest / development. These courses do not have a fixed start date and students can enrol on these throughout the year. The cost of a 6 week course is £75*.
