ICT Essentials is a non-accredited course (i.e. there is no formal award or qualification to be gained) therefore there are no entry requirements. The course is an ideal introduction for anyone wishing to build confidence with ICT tools used in work, study and everyday life.

This 6-week course will help you build confidence with essential ICT tools used in work, study and everyday life. You will learn to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Zoom for online communication, and our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) for accessing resources and submitting work.

The course is ideal for those wishing to build confidence with ICT tools used in work, study and everyday life.

Progression

National 5 Admin & IT; further study with Scottish Highers Online.

The course consists of six (approx. two-hour) lessons which cover basic ICT skills. Lessons are sent weekly and tutor feedback is provided on each weekly assignment.
