Introduction to Mathematics

This six-week mathematics taster course (SCQF Level 4) is a non-accredited course (i.e. there is no formal award or qualification to be gained) therefore there are no entry requirements. The course is an ideal introduction for anyone wishing to pursue their mathematics further and gain entry to accredited mathematics courses, such as SQA Qualifications National 4 Mathematics or National 5 Mathematics.

The course consists of five booklets which should take approximately a week each to complete and a Tutor marked assignment (TMA to test your learning). Tutor feedback is provided on each weekly assignment. Work through the materials at your own pace, you do not necessarily have to complete all questions, a selection from each exercise would be sufficient. Enough to show that you understand each topic.
